Christ is Risen! Indeed he is Risen! In Christ’s Resurrection, let’s think of three main aspects. (1) Before Crucifixion and Resurrection, Our Lord Jesus Christ was a teacher and a shepherd (2) During Crucifixion until Resurrection, He was a reconciliatory and a liberator (3) After Resurrection, our Lord Jesus Christ was present and became a companion to every man. As we celebrate this joyous Resurrection, we greet and embrace one another in Christ, thereby demonstrating our Savior's victory over death and corruption, and the destruction of our ancient enmity with God, and His reconciliation toward us, and our inheritance of life everlasting.
We commemorate the great event of the exaltation of St. Mary and celebrate our faith on her departure to heavenly abode, following an observance of a fifteen days of fasting and lent , seeking the blessing of God through the special intercession of Saint Mary.
On the Feast of the Holy Cross or Exaltation of the Cross (or Triumph of the Cross), we honour the Holy Cross by which Christ redeemed the world.
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter that marks the beginning of Holy Week, the holiest of weeks, in which the most important moments of Christ's life take place, which includes the suffering and torture.
