Three days Lent (Commemoration of Prophet Jonah) will be celebrated from Monday, 07th February to Thursday, 10th February 2022.
The Fast of Nineveh or The Three Day Fast is the shortest of the five canonical fasts observed by the Indian Orthodox Church. The three days lent is a lent of attrition and repentance commemorating the repentance of the people of Nineveh at the preaching of Prophet Jonah. This lent starts three weeks before the start of the Great Lent, which this year starts on the 07th February 2022.
On Wednesday, 9th February 2022 there will be evening prayer at church followed by Holy Qurbana.
