On the Sunday before Nineveh Lent, our parish was blessed with the esteemed presence of Diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Abraham Mar Stephanos, who led the Holy Qurbana alongside our parish Vicar, bestowing his blessings upon the faithful.
During his visit, Thirumeni congratulated the Sunday School Year 10 and 12 students who achieved outstanding grades in their exams. He encouraged them to continue deepening their spiritual knowledge alongside their academic pursuits. A special appreciation was extended to Year 12 students who have joined as new Sunday School teacher, recognizing their dedication to faith-based education. Thirumeni personally handed bouquets to the students as a token of encouragement and appreciation.
As part of his visit, Thirumeni also launched the Sunday School Newsletter and initiated the Malayalam teaching program, emphasizing the importance of preserving our faith and cultural heritage among the younger generation.
A highlight of the day was Thirumeni’s official release of the Family and Youth Conference title, "Good Soil." He inaugurated the parish-level registration, formally handing it over to the Diocesan Representative and Youth Secretary, and encouraged all members to participate in the conference in Nottingham.
Following the Holy Qurbana, Thirumeni met with various parish groups, including the Youth, Sunday School teachers, Managing Committee, and Building Committee. He reviewed the progress of the church extension project, offering his guidance and blessings for its successful completion.
Thirumeni’s visit was an occasion of great spiritual enrichment for our parish community. His words of wisdom, encouragement, and leadership left a profound impact on all. We extend our sincere gratitude to Thirumeni for his presence and prayers and look forward to welcoming him again in the future.
